General Terms and Conditions for Bookings 2024

These conditions apply to individuals, institutions, companies, and tour operators.

1.The Booking

You can book a pub crawl directly through the BarHunt website. Once you have received the confirmation with the invoice, the request becomes a final booking, and a contract is established. The statutory right of withdrawal (cooling-off period) does not apply after booking a pub crawl.

2. The Agreement

BarHunt is only obligated to provide the service after you have received the confirmation with the invoice via email and the payment has been transferred to BarHunt’s account, except where otherwise agreed as noted in the confirmation. A group generally consists of a maximum of 20 people per guide. If a party exceeds 20 people, an additional guide will be provided, with a maximum of 20 people per guide.

3. The Rates

The rates specified by BarHunt in the confirmation email apply; no rights can be derived from the website. The one-time fee for participating in a pub crawl is €40,-excl. VAT per person. This amount includes 20% booking fees and a welcome drink at the pubs that will be visited during the crawl. This ensures an organized evening where you discover the city’s pubs selected by BarHunt, guided by an experienced guide.

4. The Payment

Payment must be credited to BarHunt’s account at least one day before the scheduled pub crawl, except where otherwise agreed as noted in the confirmation.

5. Failure to Appear (Timely)

In case of a delay on the scheduled date and time of the pub crawl, BarHunt’s obligation to conduct the pub crawl expires after fifteen minutes. If you fail to appear (timely) on the scheduled date and time, no refund will be provided.

5.Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Other Changes

Cancellations, rescheduling, and other changes must be made via email to [email protected], including the contact person’s name and date.

Cancellation Terms:

  • Cancellation earlier than 10 days before the reserved date: 25% of the total reservation amount is due.
  • Cancellation 10 to 5 days before the reserved date: 50% of the total reservation amount is due.
  • Cancellation 5 to 2 days before the reserved date: 75% of the total reservation amount is due.
  • Cancellation 2 days or less before the reserved date: 100% of the total reservation amount is due.

Change Terms:

  • Changes earlier than 10 days before the reserved date: For a change in the date and/or time more than 10 days before the reserved date, the booking fees will be charged again.
  • Changes within 10 days before the reserved date: For a change within 10 days or less before the reserved date, the cancellation terms apply.

7. With Regard to BarHunt:

BarHunt is obligated to carry out the confirmed and paid pub crawls. BarHunt may make changes to the scheduled guides as noted in the confirmation without prior notice. If there are valid reasons, BarHunt may, in consultation, make changes to the agreed program, always striving to offer an equivalent product. In the event of force majeure, of any kind, that requires BarHunt to cancel the pub crawl, BarHunt will fully refund the costs.

8. Liability Exclusion for Pub Crawls

8.1 General
This liability exclusion applies to all pub crawls organized by BarHunt. By participating in a pub crawl organized by BarHunt, the participant agrees to the terms as described herein.

8.2 Participation at Own Risk
Participation in the pub crawl is entirely at the participant’s own risk. BarHunt is not liable for any injury, illness, damage, loss, accidents, or costs resulting from participation in the pub crawl, whether occurring during, before, or after the pub crawl.

8.3 Safety Measures and Responsibility
BarHunt will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety of the participants. Nevertheless, participants are required to take their own safety measures. BarHunt cannot be held responsible for incidents resulting from ignoring safety instructions or failing to follow the guide’s directions.

8.4 Damage to Property
BarHunt is not liable for any damage, loss, or theft of participants’ personal property during the pub crawl. Participants are advised to insure valuable belongings and bring them at their own risk.

8.5 Natural Hazards and Unforeseen Circumstances
BarHunt is not responsible for delays, changes, or cancellations of the tour caused by weather conditions, natural disasters, government actions, strikes, or other unforeseen circumstances beyond BarHunt’s control.

8.6 Health and Physical Condition Participants are responsible for their own health and physical condition. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure they are physically able to participate in the pub crawl. BarHunt cannot be held liable for health problems that arise during or after the pub crawl.

8.7 Participant Responsibility
Participants must comply with all local laws and regulations, as well as the rules specifically applicable to the pub crawl. BarHunt reserves the right to refuse or exclude participants who misbehave or endanger the safety of others from further participation in the pub crawl without the right to a refund.

8.8 Changes and Cancellations
BarHunt reserves the right to modify or cancel the pub crawl if necessary, for example, due to insufficient participation, weather conditions, or other circumstances beyond its control. In such cases, an attempt will be made to offer an alternative or part of the costs will be refunded at BarHunt’s reasonable discretion.

8.9 Governing Law
This liability exclusion is governed by Dutch law. All disputes arising from or related to this liability exclusion shall be exclusively submitted to the competent court in the district where BarHunt is established.
